Cocaine: Alex James in Colombia was broadcast on BBC1 and received 3.5 million viewers.
After receiving a vast amount of press coverage, this back2back production for Panorama followed Alex James through the cocaine trade in Colombia, he recently confessed to spending a million pounds on champagne and cocaine during the Britpop years with Blur. Now with the drug more popular in the UK than ever before and celebrities in the firing line for promoting it he travels to Colombia at the invitation of it's government. He meets the farmers, the sellers and the enforcers and hears the message that every gram is tainted in blood. The show was a great success and received a staggering 3.4 million viewers.
